Studious Monastery

Located near the city walls and Yedikule Fortress, Studious Monastery is the oldest church and monastic complex in Contantinople. The church which was founded in 462 by Studious served as great spiritual and intellectual center up to 15th century. Walls, coloums and part of the floor mosaics can be still seen in the spot.
