Used as a dungeon by the the Ottomans, Yedikule Fortress witnessed the imprisonment of many famous figures of the history. Even one of the Ottoman Sultans, Osman was imprisoned and eventually kiled by the Janisseries at Yedikule. in 1622. Osman was only 18 years old when he was killed by the soldiers. |
