Linden Gardens, which was a pleasure park for 18 and 19 century Sultans, witnessed the construction of two small pavilions in the European style during the reign of Sultan Abdulmecid. These attractive structures were built by one of the famous members of Balyan Family, Nikogos Balyan who replaced the old and simple mansions of former times. These two mansions which were unused up to 1950s were restored and opened to public. Maiyet Mansion was converted into Museum of Reforms. |
