Galata Tower

Galata Tower was built by the Geneoise as part of their city walls in the 14th century. This Geneoise city surrounded by triange shaped walls surrendered to Mehmet the Conqurer just before the fall of Contantinople. Used as fire wacth tower by the Ottoman Turks, Galata tower was damaged by the several fires and eartquakes. Reaching to the height of 60 meters, the tower is used as night club in our time.
