The Galata Bridge:

The first bridge on the Golden Horn was built in wood during the Ottoman times. This was replaced by a pontoon bridge which was completed by a German firm 'Man in 1910. Destroyed by a great fire Galata bridge was replaced the new bridge constructed in 1985.

Galata tower

Built in the 14th century by Genoiese as the part of their trade colony, Galata Tower handed down to Ottoman Sultan in 1453, during the Ottoman Conquest of Contantinople, Used as watch tower during the Ottoman centuries, Galata Tower suffered from the various fires and earthquakes.

Kilic Ali Pasa Mosque

This small complex which consist of a mosque, a medrese, a sebil, a bath and a tomb was butt by architect Sinan with the order of Ali Pasa, Ottoman admiral in 1580. Famous because of its interior decorations, Ali Pasa mosque has tiles of outstanding beauty and calligraphy.

Nusretiye Mosque

It was built by Mahmut I who made great reforms for the europasation of the empire. Mahmut built his mosque after put an end with the Jenissary Order.

Tophane Buildings

This principal military foundry of the Ottoman Empire was built by Mehmet the Conqueror after the fall of Contantinople. It was eventually demolished and rebuilt by Suleyman the Magnificent to supply cannons for his great campaigns. This present building, once part of a grand complex, was built by Selim III, as part of his modernisation of the Ottoman army.
