Caricature Museum which was first opened in 1975 at Tepebasi thanks to the efforts of the Caricaturist Association and Municipality of istanbul now enjoys its new location in a beautiful historic building of Gazanferaga Complex at Sarachane district of Istanbul. This above mentioned complex which consist of a religious school, a shrine and fountain was restored to its former glory to serve as museum. Reopened in 1989, the museum houses a vast collection of cartoons and satirical works and serves as host for many cartoon exhibits.
