Aynalikavak mansion which is located between Haskoy and Kasimpasa districts was built in 1719 during the time of Sultan Ahmet III. Known as "shipyard palace" Aynalikavak Mansions became famous because of the tall mirrors offered by the Venetian during the Pasarofca Peace agreement. Aynalikavak Mansion which also became one of the favorite spots of Sultan Selim III had some renovations during his rule. The mansion witnessed one of the great peace agreements signed between the Ottoman Turks and Russians in 1779. This one storied summer mansion is under the restoration work right now. |
